Foundational Course in Ayurveda Health Counselor
Overview
The Foundational Course in Ayurveda Health Counselor is designed to introduce learners to the core principles and philosophy of Ayurveda, along with essential concepts of Ayurvedic anatomy, physiology, and treatment approaches.
The course also focuses on developing effective counselling skills to support individuals in adopting Ayurvedic lifestyle practices for health and wellbeing.
The programme will be delivered through lectures, interactive discussions, practical sessions, and self-learning exercises. Assessment will include continuous internal evaluation and a final examination.
Successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate upon completion.

Eligibility:
BAMS and higher qualifications, or
Equivalent medical / biological sciences qualification (for overseas students)
A written examination and/or interview may be conducted, if required.

- Analyse the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda
- Assess the body constitution (Prakriti) of an individual
- Identify the role and level at which counselling supports disease management
- Conduct Ayurvedic lifestyle consultations
- Provide Ayurvedic guidance on daily routines (Dinacharya), Pranayama, and Meditation
- Offer guidance on special Ayurvedic therapies and home remedies
Attitude
Promote the use of Ayurveda for the management of various ailments
Apply basic principles of Ayurveda along with counselling techniques in practice
